We invite you to join us for a comprehensive 8-week training block designed specifically for The Seneca Park Zoo Jungle Jog. The Rochester classic is a favorite across the board as walkers, first-time 5k runners and seasoned champions challenge themselves on the course that weaves up and through the Seneca Park Zoo. Whether you are looking to complete it for the first time, or improve your performance, we will get you ready for July 19th!
Training Schedule
The training program meets twice weekly, providing structured support and guidance:
- Tuesday: 6:00 PM, various locations
- Saturday: 8:00 AM, various locations
- 8 Week Program: May 26 – July 19

- Race-Specific Training Plan: Receive a structured plan tailored to your experience level, whether you are building toward your first 5K or sharpening your speed. Each week builds fitness progressively, so you feel strong and prepared on race day.
- Coached Workouts and Guided Long Runs: Ambassador-led sessions focus on endurance, pacing, technique, and smart progression. You will never wonder what to do or how hard to push.
- Recovery Week Clinics: During recovery weeks, we host educational clinics covering race preparation, training strategies, fueling basics, and injury prevention so you train smarter.
- Discount Jungle Jog Entry: Medved Endurance Project members receive a reduced entry fee for the Jungle Jog
