LEARN TO RUN: 5K/10K TRAINING GROUP

8 Week Coached Training Program

SPRING Program: April 28, 2021 – June 19, 2021

SUMMER Program: July 21, 2021 – September 11, 2021

Program Description

Do you need some assistance in training for a 5K or 10K?  Are you new to running? The Medved Training Group can help. Whether you have never completed a 5K or 10K, or you are looking to improve your times, our training program can help you accomplish your goals. There will be two group workouts each week and we will provide you with a weekly training plan. All group workouts will be conducted with a fun/supportive atmosphere.

Our 8-week Training Group is tailored to your individual needs with personal coaching and encouragement.

In addition to training there will be discussions on proper running shoe fit, dressing for various weather conditions, nutritional needs, goal setting, strength training, stretching, race preparation, recovery, and more!

The group will meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm and Saturday mornings at 8:00 am. We will meet at various locations in the Rochester area.  We know that running is just one aspect of your very busy life and we do not expect that you will be able to attend every session! Weekly training plans will be provided for you.

The SPRING Training Group begins on April 28, 2021.  The focus of the group will be to dust off that winter snow and get back into a routine of movement!

The SUMMER Training Group begins on July 21, 2021.  The focus of this program will be the Old Forge Marathon Weekend September 9-11, 2021.  The event hosts a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Full Marathon and more!

  • Register before 11:59 pm on April 20, 2021 for just $80.
  • The price will increase to $100 on April 21, 2021.
  • Registration will close at 11:59 pm on April 26, 2020.
  • Registration will be limited per NYS Public Gathering restrictions

SUMMER Program Pricing :

  • Register before 11:59 pm on July 13, 2021 for just $80.
  • The price will increase to $100 on July 14, 2021.
  • Registration will close at 11:59 pm on July 19, 2020.
