DESCRIPTION:The Muddy Sneaker is a trail run in the Hi Tor Wilderness Area in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. The sneaker has some of the quickest elevation loss and gain of any trail run in the region. During the Muddy Sneaker it is possible that you will encounter any or all of the following hazards: rocks\, roots\, snow\, ice\, logs to crawl over\, logs to crawl under\, stream crossings\, oversize chickens\, and other wild creatures. If you are looking to do a 20K run and compete against the clock or are hoping to set a PR\, you may want to look elsewhere. However\, if you want to test yourself against nature and your own will to finish\, this is the race for you.

DESCRIPTION:Race Details\n\n\n\n\nFrozen Assets Endurance Run is a winter race on the trails of Harriet Hollister Spencer State Recreation Area on January 4\, 2025. This new event is founded on the storied traditions of Frozen Assets Snowshoe Race and S6 Endurance Mountain Bike Race\, but without snowshoes or bikes. The distance will be around 10k – but subject to change due to trail and weather conditions. \nPrice: $20 registration fee. No price increases. \n\n\nCourse\n\n\n\n\nThe course is an approximately 10k loop starting and finishing in the parking lot of Harriet Hollister Spencer State Recreation Area. The course is mostly winding single track trail blazed for the S6 Endurance Mountain Bike Race. As much as possible\, the course will avoid trails groomed for Nordic skiing\, but runners should be respectful of these mixed-use trails. There will be two crossings over the C4 snowmobile trail. Snowmobiles have the right of way at the crossings\, or honestly any time a runner and snowmobile attempt to share the same space.
