DESCRIPTION:Our special brand of seasonal nonsense returns with the Christmas-themed Merrier Games on Thursday\, December 11\, 2025!  \nWe are excited to be back at the shop for our next running Holiday Scavenger Hunt\, and our friends from Brooks will be joining in the fun! \nPick a team and theme from the sign-up list and corral your favorite people to do the same.  Each team name has 10 open spots available on a first-come\, first-served basis. \nGame day check-in will open at 5:30 PM\, and the Games will start promptly at 6:15 PM. \nTeams of 5 -10 (the most a team can have is ten participants) will work together to complete challenges and acquire checkpoints within a set time limit of seventy-five minutes. Half scavenger hunt\, half adventure race\, extra nonsense\, total fun! \nThe Team Captain will be required to have their cell phone on them at all times during the Games. \nDon’t have a team? No problem\, sign up on the Free Agent team.

DESCRIPTION:Ready to Pun? \nMedved’s special brand of seasonal running nonsense returns with the April Fools-themed Lloyd & Harrier Games Too on Tuesday\, April 1st\, 2025. \nOur Friends at Three Heads Brewing (186 Atlantic Ave\, Rochester\, NY 14607) are hosting our shenanigans and gameplay spans a course comprised of many ridiculous and foolish places around Rochester\, New York. Half scavenger hunt\, half adventure race\, extra foolish nonsense\, total fun! \nRegistration:  Want to Captain a team? Captains register first\, create their team name\, and then have their Team Players register under that team.  Don’t want to captain?  Sign up as a Free Agent and join the Free Agent Team and you can meet new running friends! \nTeam Requirements: \n\nTeams of 5 -10 players who work together to complete challenges and acquire checkpoints within a set time limit of seventy-five minutes.\nGame day check-in will open at 5:30 PM and the Games will start promptly at 6:15 PM. Team captains should have completed check-in by 6 PM.\nEach team will be required to carry a cell phone and have access to post on the Medved Facebook Group Home Page. The Team Captain will also be required to have their cell phone on them at all times during the Games.\n\nGame Rules:\nA choose-your-own-adventure scavenger hunt\, where runners earn points by visiting various locations and completing challenges. There may be one or more mandatory checkpoints in addition to several optional checkpoints.\nYour team will receive the scavenger hunt list at The Lloyd & Harrier Games Too on game day.\nTo claim your points for each location/challenge\, you must post a picture of your entire team at a designated location to the Medved Running & Walking Outfitters Group Facebook page. Please make sure you are a member of this group before game day!\nPosts are eligible to earn you points between the designated race time (6:15 pm – 7:30 pm). Points will not be awarded for posts outside of that time frame.\nAll participants are required to follow traffic and pedestrian guidelines at all times.\nHeadlamps & Reflective gear are required\, with no exceptions.

DESCRIPTION:Get ready for your Thanksgiving feast!\nJoin us in running 2 or 5 miles through downtown Rochester.\nSign up for The Feast:\nhttps://runsignup.com/Race/NY/Rochester/FeastofBurden5Miler\n\n\n\nThe race starts outside the Blue Cross Arena and ventures towards the University of Rochester campus. This out and back course is flat\, fast and fun for the whole family. Prizes will be awarded to top overall winners\, top masters\, and top age group winners.\n\nWhen you sign up you can also order pies from Special Touch Bakery (all orders for pies must be placed by 11/11/24) and pick them up at Medved Running and Walking Outfitters on Tuesday\, November 26 at the packet pickup. Have a great pie and support an awesome cause!\n\nAre you unable to make it to the race but still want to be part of the fun? Register for the virtual option and we’ll send you a race shirt.\nMembers of The Medved Endurance Project receive $5.00 off of the entry fee.\n\nPacket pickup will be at Medved Running and Walking Outfitters on Tuesday\, November 26\, 2023 and Wednesday\, November 27\, 2023\, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Pies MUST be picked up on Tuesday\, November 26. Any pie that is not picked up will be donated to a local charity (or eaten by Dave.)\nRace day packet pickup at The Blue Cross Arena will start at 7:45 am. We STRONGLY suggest that you pick up your packet at Medved on Tuesday or Wednesday. We will be very busy and short-staffed and the race will start on time even if participants are still in line.\nThe 5-mile race will start promptly at 9:00 am. The 2-mile will begin very shortly afterward.
