Join us and hundreds of others for an incredible day of fun, great food, live music and running as we come together to transform lives in Uganda! The UWP 5K is a well-organized event and one of Rochester’s premiere early road races.
The Ugandan Water Project is locally based in Bloomfield, NY. Started in 2008, UWP’s goal is to implement relational solutions that help Ugandans pull themselves out of poverty in a sustainable way so they can live the lives they were created for. The organization’s solution set includes rainwater collection systems, borehole rehabilitation, and point-of-use filtration. Currently, 413 projects have been funded, bringing clean water to over 130,000 Ugandans.
This event is the single biggest public fundraiser for UWP, bringing in thousands of dollars to enable us to continue our work in Uganda. To have the biggest impact, sign up as sponsored runner and join a fundraising team by sharing your personalized campaign page with friends and family. Together we can give water and give life!
