Distance Training Program Description

Do you need some assistance in training for your half, full or ultra marathon? The Medved Distance Training Program can help. Whether you have never completed a half or full marathon, or you are looking to improve your times, The Medved Distance Training Program will fit your needs.

Our distance training programs are tailored to your individual needs in a fun and supportive setting with personal coaching and encouragement.

In addition to training there will be discussions on proper running shoe fit, dressing for various weather conditions, nutritional needs, goal setting, strength training, stretching, race preparation, and more!

The group will meet on Tuesday evenings at 6:00 pm and Saturday mornings at 8:00 am. We will meet at various locations in the Rochester area.  We know that running is just one aspect of your very busy life and we do not expect that you will be able to attend every session! Weekly training plans will be provided for you.

Spring Session (14 weeks) = March 8 – June 11, 2022

  • We will train towards the Thousand Island Half Marathon on June 11, 2022
  • Register before 11:59 pm on March 1, 2022 for just $175
  • The price will increase to $195 on March 2, 2022
  • Registration will close at 11:59 pm on March 5, 2022

Summer Session (15 weeks) = June 28 – October 9, 2022

  • We will train towards the Mohawk Hudson River Marathon & Hannaford Half on October 9, 2022
  • Register before 11:59 pm on June 21, 2022 for just $190
  • The price will increase to $210 on June 22, 2022.
  • Registration will close at 11:59 pm on June 25, 2022.
