Have you ever considered running a 5K or a 10K but are not sure where to start? Let us help you start or supplement your running program! Whether you have never run a race or would like to try to build more consistency in your training; we are here for you . . . everything from finding a running shoe to completion of the event. Need motivation? Techniques for staying on track will be addressed as well.
This 9 week program tailors your individual needs in a fun setting with personal coaching and encouragement. It will culminate in the running of the Medved Lilac 10K and 5K Family Fun Run.
- 10K Purple Group: For those participants who can currently run a 5K and would like to increase your mileage to finish a 10K.
- 10K Yellow Group: For those participants who have run several 10Ks and would like to increase your speed and improve your performance in the 10K distance.
- 5K White Group: For those who want to begin a run/walk program.
- 5K Green Group: For those who currently finish a 5K and would like to increase speed and improve your performance at the 5K distance.
Support for your running program will be supplemented by discussions on proper running shoe fit, dressing for various weather conditions, goal setting, stretching and more!
Weekly training plans will be provided. Group workout will be on Wednesdays at 6 pm starting March 21, 2012. Come join in as you share your running program with a supportive network.
The tuition for the program is $75.00 which includes the coach's fee, entry into the Medved Lilac 10K or 5K, a performance running shirt and Medved Store Specials. No refunds after March 28th.
We are having two informational meetings: March 7th and March 15th at 7 pm at the store.
