The 2010 Medved Ten Ugly Men 5K will be held on Saturday July 24, 2010 at 9 am in Genesee Valley Park. Come out and enjoy one of the Rochester area’s biggest summertime party featuring live bands, food and games.

- Saturday July 24, 2010 at Genesee Valley Park, Rochester, N.Y.
- 5K Race starts at 9 am
- 1K Kids Race starts 10 am
Directions and Parking Information
- Genessee Valley Park is located along the banks of the Genesee River across from the University of Rochester. You can enter the park from either Elmwood Avenue or East River Road.
- Park in the large U of R Medical Center Parking Lot adjacent to the park.
- The Registration area is about a 5 minute walk. Signs will be posted.

- First 400 registered receive a Mizuno Technical Short Sleeve Shirt
- Post Race Food and Refreshments

Pre-Registration
Packet Pick Up
- Available at Medved Running and Walking Outfitters (3400 Monroe Avenue) on Friday July 23rd from 10 am to 8 pm
- Race Day Registration and packet pick up will begin at 7:45 am at the Roundhouse Pavillion in Genesee Valley Park.
5K Awards
Total purse for this year's race is $500 to be distributed as follows:
- 1st: $125
- 2nd: $75
- 3rd: $50
Master's (40+): a pair of Mizuno Running Shoes
- Age Group Winners will receive a $15 Medved Gift Certificate
- Second Place in age group will receive a gift from Mizuno
- Third Place receive a Gift Certificate from the Otter Lodge
Beat the Uglies
The Ugly Relay Team is back and they dare you to beat them. If you are able to beat them (and live to tell about it) you will receive a free admission into the Festival.
Kids Races
- Kids 13 and under will run 1K (6/10 of a mile) along the canal path
- All competitors will receive participation ribbons
- Entry Fee is just $5.00 and is payable on race day
Charitable Causes
Through out the Ten Ugly Men Festival’s history, 100% of all funds raised (after subsidizing the portion of the event which is not donated) have been given to a local charity. This amounts to over $1.1 million dollars. Last year’s festival raised over $200,000 ( a record). This year’s beneficiaries are the Bright Eyes Fund for pediatric brain tumor treatment at Golisano Children’s Hospital.
