Medved Winter Challenge
Come join Medved and Goose Adventure Racing for a day filled of challenges for all levels. The day will consist of two events. The first is a 5K Snowshoe Race. The second is Two Person Adventure 4 Hour Challenge, which is a competitive team snowshoe adventure race.
The 5K Snowshoe Race will begin at 9 am, with the Adventure Race beginning at 10 am. You can choose to do either event or if you are really up for a "Challenge" try your hand at both events.

5K Snowshoe Race
Our 5K course will include some of our favorite trails surrounding Hopkins Point in Mendon Ponds Park, including portions of the legendary Cardiac and Coronary Hills. Expect a challenging mix of double wide and single track trails. All speeds welcome. Entry Fee is $15
Two Person Adventure Challenge
Our Winter Adventure Race will challenge two person teams as they compete at navigation, road biking (mountain bike required), and travelling on foot (snowshoes and/or cross country skis are optional) Expect up to 10 miles of navigational terrain on foot. Exact rules, start location and maps will be provided on race day. Entry Fee is $15 per person.
Other Event Info
- Participants will receive a long sleeve cotton shirt
- Peal Izumi shoes will be awarded to the top male, top female and top co ed teams.
- 2nd and 3rd place teams will receive SmartWool socks.
- Post Event Refreshments
- Gear List for the Adventure Race: Snowshoes (there will be a limited number of demos available); Personal Hydration and Food (there will be no on course aid stations); Compass; and Cross Country Skis are optional.
