5 Weeks To 5 Miles Program Description

Did you train all summer for a long distance goal race? Are you ready to reduce your mileage and shift to a faster, shorter, season-ending race?  Have you trained for a 5k and now want to run a little farther? Join Medved Coaches Sherry Kessler and Maggie Baackes and our awesome group of Ambassadors for our 5 Weeks to 5 Miles training program.

This training program will get you ready for the Medved Feast of Burden 5-miler on Thanksgiving Day in downtown Rochester.

This 5 week training group is designed for either runners who can comfortably complete a 10k or farther and have a desire to run faster or runners that are comfortable completing a 5k and want to run a little longer. We will meet Tuesday nights for speed based workouts and Saturday morning for longer, easier miles. Our workouts will rotate through several eastside locations.

The program will include 10 coached workouts beginning October 16th and running through November 17th. Tuesday evening workouts will begin at 6:00 pm. Saturday morning workouts will begin at 8:00 am.

Cost:

  • $65.00 before 11:59 pm on September 30, 2018.
  • $75.00 before 11:59 pm on October 9, 2018.
  • $85.00 until registration closes at noon on October 16, 2018.
  • Members of The Medved Endurance Project receive a 25% discount on this training program.
