5 Weeks To 5 Miles Program Description

Did you train all summer for a long distance goal race? Are you ready to reduce your mileage and shift to a faster, shorter, season-ending race?  Join Medved Coaches Sherry Kessler and Maggie Baackes and our awesome group of Ambassadors for our all-new 5 Weeks to 5 Miles training program.

This training program will focus on increasing your speed over shorter distances and get you ready for the Medved Feast of Burden 5-mile road race, held on Thanksgiving Day in downtown Rochester!

This 5 week training group is designed for Intermediate/Advanced runners who can comfortably complete a 10k or farther and have a desire to run faster. We will meet Tuesday nights for track based speed workouts and Saturday morning for longer, easier miles.

The program will include 10 coached workouts beginning October 17th and running through November 18th. Tuesday evening workouts will begin at 6:00 pm. Saturday morning workouts will begin at 7:30 am.

Cost:

  • $75 – New Medved Endurance Project (MEP) Members. All New MEP members will receive a Team Singlet!
  • $50 – Current Medved Endurance Project Members (please email maggie @ medvedrunwalk.com for your discount code, prior to registering.)
